Brief
The biannual Natural Product Expo is where companies in the natural, organic and health products industry unveil new innovations that promote health, wellbeing and sustainability. Having attended the event several times previously, our client Tetra Pak turned its attention to the 2023 Expo West in Anaheim, California. We were asked to take full responsibility for the entire space, consisting of:
An 18m² main booth
A 9m² water dispensing kiosk
A 100m² private appointment area
Banners and recycling stations as part of a sponsorship programme
Progress
The first task was to come up with an overall design concept that could create awareness of Tetra Pak’s sustainable packages and its digital printing innovations. The team combined organic materials such as wood, plants and real moss with nature prints. The result: a fresh and authentic design conveying quality and thoughtfulness. Adding the customer’s own, clean colour scheme of blue, white and steel gave the final fresh and modern look.
Main booth
The main booth is where a company shows its products and explains its solutions. Installing a 100-inch screen inside the booth wall, with glass shelves in front, allowed us to display the cartons against a moving background that displayed the package names, the lines used to produce them, and some of the products. This eye-catching and informative format drew many visitors to the booth.
Private appointment area
This large room had to include a customer lounge, two client meeting rooms and a large area for storage and staff. We furnished the lounge with an uninterrupted image spanning 14m covering the entire wall surface. To create a welcoming backdrop, we merged several images into one continuous artwork in which each picture merged seamlessly into the other. The visually appealing result and told a compelling story about environmental impact.
Water dispensing kiosk
Located directly in front of a main entrance, this small kiosk was where Tetra Pak made its first impression on visitors with a free water bottle giveaway. Here, we wanted to create a real impact that would inspire interest in Tetra Pak’s products. Taking advantage of Tetra Pak’s recent digital printing innovations, we created a wall of 152 custom-printed cartons. When placed at a 90-degree angle on seven glass shelves, the bottle print showed two images. Visitors approaching the booth saw the first image, which morphed into the second as they walked past, creating an almost magical impression.
